The Consul General

Michele Mistò is the Consul General of Italy in Miami since August 4th, 2023.

A Message from the Consul General

Dear fellow citizens,

I have recently assumed the role of Consul General. For me, it is sincerely an honor and a great responsibility, of which I will try to be worthy at all times. First and foremost in your eyes. The story of our community in Florida, and that of the many Italians residing in the other states and territories of this large consular district, is one of great successes. It is a story of individual and family affirmation, of courage, of spirit of initiative and ability to get involved. At the price of important sacrifices and so much commitment on the part of each one of you. It is also a story that continues to be written by compatriots who every year add themselves to our community, which in a few years has become the second in the United States. The Consulate General of Italy is with you and for you. It is – and I say this with pride – the institution that the nation gives you and to which it entrusts you. Within the limits of the resources we have, of which we are well aware, we will be at your side and we will try to provide you with increasingly efficient services that live up to your expectations. We will listen to you carefully and take care of your needs with all the solicitude of which we are capable. We will strive, with intelligence and in a spirit of service, to do more and better, in your interest and for the good of our country.

With my kindest regards,

Michele Mistò

Consul General of Italy in Miami
