Notice to Italian Nationals Traveling from Miami to Colombia
A 7.4‑magnitude earthquake has struck Colombia, with its epicenter near San José del Palmar, in the Department of Chocó, in the western part of the country. The Colombian Government has declared a state of natural calamity. The most affected areas are Caldas, Chocó, Quindío, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca.
The airports of Pereira, Manizales, Cartago, and Buenaventura have currently suspended operations. The airports of Cali, Armenia, and Quibdó are now operational again. Travelers are advised to check the status of their flight directly with their respective airlines.
Road conditions in the areas most affected by the earthquake may be subject to restrictions, including sudden ones. A curfew is in effect, and may be extended, in the following cities:
- Caldas (until Friday, August 14, from 22:00 to 05:00)
- La Unión (until Sunday, August 16, from 22:00 to 05:00)
