To obtain a certification of translation conformity from Italian to English or English to Italian, it is necessary to submit the original document together with the complete translation.
Translation conformity can only be certified for documents issued by entities/institutions located within this Consular Jurisdiction (The Consular Network).
To obtain the certification, you must send the following by mail (USPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.):
- The original document, duly legalized and bearing an Apostille;
- The translation of the document (the Apostille does not need to be translated);
- A money order made payable to the Consulate General of Italy, corresponding to the consular fee per translated page (front/back) as per Article 72A;
- A pre-paid and pre-addressed envelope for the return of the certified document;
The Consulate General of Italy does not provide translation services. However, applicants may consider contacting a professional translator (Translators List – Consulate General of Italy in Miami).
