Tropical Depression “Number 18” currently affecting the Caribbean Sea north of Panama is expected to evolve to Tropical Storm level and then to hurricane level upon arrival over the Cayman Islands on Tuesday evening, November 5. Particularly severe weather conditions are expected with heavy rainfall, intense wind gusts and high tides, with risk of urban flooding.
Nationals are advised to strictly adhere to the instructions provided by local authorities, as well as to want to closely monitor the Cayman Islands Weather Center website (https://www.weather.gov.ky) for an up-to-date picture of weather conditions and environmental risks.
