International Made in Italy Day in Miami: innovation, traditions, culture, and entrepreneurship

Made in Italy Where Innovation Meets Excellence

A captivating conversation with Horacio Pagani, the renowned founder and CEO of the hypercar brand that bears his name, was at the heart of Miami’s celebration of International Made in Italy Day, organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Miami in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute.

Accompanied by a display of Pagani models, the event offered the large and distinguished American audience—designers, automotive specialists, distributors and importers, and industry experts—a unique opportunity to explore Pagani’s personal and entrepreneurial journey: from his early years in Argentina, to his career at Lamborghini in Modena, and ultimately to the creation of his own automotive company in the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley.

Pagani’s extraordinary creative and entrepreneurial path illuminated the defining traits of Made in Italy and the cultural environment in which it is born and thrives—an environment that continues to fascinate the world. His story embodies the essence of Italian know‑how: ingenuity, creativity, intuition, and vision, paired with hard work, perseverance, and the ability to innovate while carrying forward—and reinterpreting—centuries‑old traditions of craftsmanship, science, and technical excellence.

The conversation touched on many themes: the automotive heritage of Modena’s Motor Valley; the importance of teamwork in developing innovative products; the need for Italy to continue investing in high‑value market niches; the technological challenges posed by some major international manufacturers; the transformation of the global automotive market in response to evolving tastes and expectations among younger generations; the importance of collaboration among companies within the sector and across the broader high‑end ecosystem (such as the “Altagamma” consortium); and the cultural value of Made in Italy for those who create it and for those who seek it out.

The initiative—developed in collaboration with Pagani—was conceived to celebrate Made in Italy Day 2026 by highlighting the wealth of insight and inspiration that stories like Pagani’s offer, even to highly informed and specialized international audiences. As in the best Italian tradition, it is a story of courage, creativity, dedication, and innovation, but also of humanity, culture, and humility.

A heartfelt thank‑you to our guest and to the many attendees—Americans and Italians alike—who joined us and shared their appreciation.
