We are aware that, due to strong demand, the monthly appointments available on the Prenot@mi<\/a> portal for passport renewal fill up very quickly. We would like to inform you that we are making every possible effort to strengthen this important service and reduce waiting times for appointments.<\/p>\n

New passport appointments are made available every day<\/strong> at midnight Italian time (6:00 p.m. Miami time)<\/strong>. In addition, on Thursday mornings (around 10:00 a.m. Miami time)<\/strong> we release at least 80 new slots for the following week, bringing the total number of passport slots available each week to between 150 and 170.<\/p>\n

We therefore thank you for your understanding and cooperation.<\/p>\n

We strongly recommend that you do not trust brokerage firms, agencies, or individuals who claim they can procure appointments for a fee. Appointments can only be reserved through the Prenot@mi application and are absolutely free of charge. Any appointments made through such parties\u2014and thus the result of an illicit “resale” of free consular services\u2014will be canceled. Likewise, appointments booked by means of bots or malicious software will be eliminated. Such practices will be reported to the appropriate authorities (and may constitute violations of Florida’s cybercrime regulations<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Somos conscientes de que, debido a la alta demanda, las citas mensuales disponibles en el portal Prenot@mi<\/a> para la renovaci\u00f3n del pasaporte se agotan r\u00e1pidamente. Nuevas citas para pasaportes se ponen a disposici\u00f3n todos los d\u00edas<\/strong> a la medianoche (hora italiana), es decir, a las 18:00 horas de Miami<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, los jueves por la ma\u00f1ana (alrededor de las 10:00 horas de Miami)<\/strong> se liberan como m\u00ednimo 80 nuevos cupos para la semana siguiente, elevando el total de cupos disponibles para pasaportes cada semana a entre 150 y 170.<\/p>\n

Reiteramos que las citas solo pueden reservarse a trav\u00e9s de la aplicaci\u00f3n Prenot@mi, como se ha indicado anteriormente, y son totalmente gratuitas, sin excepciones. Las citas concertadas a trav\u00e9s de estos sujetos y que, por lo tanto, sean fruto de una \u00abreventa\u00bb il\u00edcita de servicios consulares gratuitos, ser\u00e1n canceladas de oficio. The passport office receives visitors by appointment only<\/b>, which can be booked through the portal <\/b>Prenot@mi.<\/b><\/a> Citizens are invited to create an account on the portal and book an individual appointment using their personal account. The booking service through the Prenot@mi portal is completely free of charge. <\/b>More information about the Prenot@mi portal is available on this page: Prenot@mi \u2013 Consulate General of Italy in Miami<\/a><\/p>\n

PLEASE NOTE<\/b>: In order to apply for a passport at this Consular Office, you must be registered with the AIRE of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami<\/b>. If you are not yet registered with the AIRE of this Consulate General, please follow the instructions on this page: Registry of Italians residing abroad (AIRE) \u2013 Consulate General of Italy in Miami<\/a>. Before making an appointment for a passport through the <\/b>PRENOT@MI<\/b><\/a> portal, please verify your registration<\/b> with the Consulate General of Italy in Miami by logging into your Fast It account (in particular, verify that your file has been processed by the AIRE office and that your AIRE registration application has been \u201ctransmitted to the municipality<\/b>\u201d).<\/p>\n

To obtain a passport for an Italian citizen who is under 12 years of age<\/b>, parents can send the documentation by mail to the Passport Office of this Consulate General, carefully following the instructions described on this page: Passport application for minors \u2013 Consulate General of Italy in Miami<\/a><\/p>\n

Italian citizens residing in the consular district of the Honorary Consulates of Atlanta, Orlando, Charleston, Nassau (Bahamas), and Kingston (Jamaica) may contact the Honorary Consuls in the area to make an appointment for the collection of biometric data (please write to the relevant office using the contacts available on this page: The Consular Network \u2013 Consulate General of Italy in Miami<\/a> ) and then send the necessary documentation by mail to the Consulate General in Miami.<\/p>\n

Italian citizens registered with AIRE and residing in Alabama, Mississippi,<\/strong> and in the islands within this consular jurisdiction not served by an Honorary Consulate (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius and Saba, Turks and Caicos Islands<\/strong>) may write to the Passport Office at passaporti.miami@esteri.it<\/a> to schedule a dedicated appointment at the Consulate General, allowing them to plan their travel itinerary with sufficient advance notice.<\/p>\n

In case of a proven and urgent emergency<\/b> (health reasons, work, theft or loss of the only travel document, etc.), send an email to passaporti.miami@esteri.it<\/a> attaching any document useful for determining and proving such emergency.<\/p>\n
